At 32 inches, resolution makes a conspicuous difference. A 2560 × 1440 panel spreads 3.7 million pixels over a large area; 3840 × 2160 fits 8.3 million into roughly the same size. Samsung’s flat Odyssey G51C is a QHD VA option with a more manageable graphics load. MSI’s MAG 322URDF E16 is a 4K IPS screen that can switch to 1080p for a higher refresh rate.

Model Panel Native resolution and refresh Other consideration
Samsung Odyssey G5 G51C Flat 32-inch VA 2560 × 1440, up to 165Hz Height, tilt, swivel and pivot adjustment

Samsung Odyssey G51C: QHD on a large screen

The G51C gives you a large 16:9 screen without asking the PC to render 4K. Samsung’s specification for the G51C identifies a flat VA panel, 165Hz, FreeSync Premium and an adjustable stand. Its listed typical contrast is 3000:1, a strength for an LCD when games have dark areas. The advertised 1ms response is MPRT, not the same measurement as grey-to-grey pixel response. A 32-inch QHD screen has roughly the same pixel density as a 24-inch 1080p screen, so it looks less fine than a 32-inch 4K model at the same distance. Confirm the G51C suffix when ordering; Samsung’s G55C is a different, curved monitor.

MSI MAG 322URDF E16: 4K detail, with a lower-resolution speed mode

The MAG 322URDF E16 specification lists a 31.5-inch 4K IPS panel at 160Hz, two HDMI 2.1 inputs and DisplayPort 1.4a. For a PC with enough graphics power, its denser picture benefits detailed games and desktop text. HDMI 2.1 also makes it a more natural match for 4K/120Hz console output. Its 320Hz mode runs at 1920 × 1080, not 4K. On a 32-inch screen that lower-resolution image is a noticeable compromise, even if the faster mode suits a particular competitive game.

Which is the better buy for your PC?

If a graphics card already struggles to hold the frame rate you want at QHD, a 4K monitor will demand more of it. The Samsung keeps the rendering load lower and has a fully adjustable stand. If 4K gaming, 4K video and sharper desktop text are the goal, the MSI provides a much denser image at almost the same physical size. Check live prices and the exact suffixes: screen size alone tells you little about what these two deliver.
